Four Make the Shortlist for our June Writing Contest

We are so pleased to announce that FOUR writers have made the shortlist for our June Write Prompt Challenge.

We try to choose images that can take authors in countless directions, and the photo of a person with a horse took people to some interesting places. These writers approached the provided image with wonderfully unique views that were clever and surprising.

Congratulations to Connie Chen, Sarah Law, Susan Duffield-Lodge, and Jason Lee Norman — we wish you well as you go on to the final stage of judging!

Connie Chen| shortlisted for the story, 'Auras'

Connie Chen is a recently retired physician living between Toronto and the Okanagan. She's taking this time to work on a novel as an homage to her mother.

Sarah Law| shortlisted for the story, 'Horse Girl'

Sarah Law is a reporter for CBC News in Thunder Bay, Ont. She lives with her partner, Austin, and two cats, Panda and Luna.

Susan Duffield-Lodge | shortlisted for the story, 'What is a Photo Worth?'

Susan is a wife, a mother, and a writer. She can often be found strolling along the Avon River conversing with the swans, ducks, and other wildlife, or hanging out with her best friend Rowan, a mischievous and energetic English Springer Spaniel.

Jason Lee Norman | shortlisted for the story, 'Chrissy Teigen Buys a Horse'

Jason Lee Norman is the editor of Funicular Magazine. He lives and writes in Edmonton.

Watch for our announcement of the top three in the coming weeks!
