Tina Petrick’s twenties were a rebellion against her reluctantly chosen career in law. She appeared on reality TV, quit her legal practice and waitressed on Granville Island, worked for a “botanical beverage” company, and founded a gaming startup. So far, her thirties are more relaxed: she writes fiction, memoir, and creates computer games from a motor yacht on the Great Lakes and her home in Calgary. Her essays have appeared in the Globe & Mail, including “Lovesick Leftie Blues” which was the most shared personal essay of the year, and on her blog, flatbubbly.com.
