Nancy Allan, poet
Nancy Allan is a former Medical Laboratory Technologist (Microbiology). As a teenager, Nancy read some poetry by the English poets (Wordsworth, Tennyson) that captivated her imagination. She loved their descriptions of nature. As an adult, Nancy has travelled to various countries on hiking trips and has written essays about how these experiences have inspired her. She always keeps a journal when she travels to preserve memories.
Nancy is involved in volunteer work and recently won second prize in a poetry contest. She lives in Thornhill, loves gardening, art, and also belongs to a writing group.
