Michael Schmidt, poet

Michael Schmidt is an emerging writer from the quiet woods and fields of rural Southern Ontario. Occasionally, he writes under the pseudonym Tom Epic. He is equally enthusiastic about ice hockey, writing, and dreaming up various imaginary scenarios, many of which he turns into stories. He completed a BA Honours Specialization for English and Creative Writing at Western University in 2022. His work has been published in student journals at Western, and a poem of his was featured in London’s 2021 Wordsfest magazine. An avid fan of fantasy stories, he hopes to contribute something epic to the genre in the near future. He can be found on Instagram and Twitter as @theepictom_.
