Martin Mielke grew up in southern Ontario before moving to the northern part of the province in 1991. He taught in a First Nations community for ten years before settling in Thunder Bay. He is the proud father of two daughters, and his interests include camping and snowboarding with them. As a young man, Martin tried writing but lacked the necessary passion. As an older but perhaps no wiser man, he is trying again under the encouragement of his lovely partner.
