When he isn’t working as an adjunct professor of applied linguistics at York University, Jonathan Mendelsohn writes fiction and creative non-fiction. He has previously published short fiction in Prism International and creative non-fiction in a variety of publications including The Toronto Review of Books, Today’s Parent, Cha: An Asian Literary Review, The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star. He has also served on a jury for the Ve'ahavta Creative Writing contest and is currently on the selection committee for the Toronto South African Film Festival. His novel, ANA BEGINS, is a coming-of-age love story set in Japan.
