Deborah Blenkhorn, writer
Deborah Blenkhorn's stories are set in Ontario, New Brunswick, and British Columbia. Her creative work has appeared in venues such as Queen's Feminist Review and This Island, We Celebrate; her book reviews are featured in Canadian Literature, and she authored several entries in the New Encyclopedia of Canadian Literature in English. Her 2019 textbook, An Introduction to Academic Reading and Writing, is a trusted source for students and faculty alike. Deborah teaches at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and in the University of British Columbia's Extended Learning program. In her spare time, Deborah works at her local recycling depot, and is raising two lovely daughters and a goofy white lab with her husband Steve Forster on Bowen Island, BC.
