Bob Mann’s work focuses on the uncomfortable, tragic, and sometimes funny gaps between the lines of everyday life. He received the 2021 Nova Writes Budge Wilson Prize and was shortlisted in The Fiddlehead 2020 Short Fiction Contest. Also a screenwriter, his short film The Date was named Best Canadian Short at the Canadian International Comedy Film Festival (2020), his film Second Wedding was included in Telefilm’s Not Short on Talent program at the Cannes Film Festival (2021), and his co-written comedic screenplay Hustle & Dad won the Harold Greenberg prize at FIN in 2015. Bob lives and writes in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
