Andrew Dasselaar, writer
Andrew Dasselaar has written ten nonfiction books in Dutch and one in English. Originally from Amsterdam, he made Vancouver his home in 2017 to complete an MFA in Creative Writing at UBC, before moving to Toronto in November 2020 to take a job at the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency. Andrew is a member of the poetry editorial board of Vancouver-based literary magazine PRISM.
His work has been published in Business Insider, as well as in Dutch publications with unpronounceable names such as Het Financieele Dagblad and NRC Handelsblad. Unlike most Dutch people, Andrew does not like cycling or soccer, but is still an advocate of putting chocolate sprinkles on your bread.
