Abby Couture, poet

Abby Couture is a young aspiring writer and creator. She is currently completing her undergraduate degree double majoring in Psychology and sociology. Passionate about behavioral science research, she hopes to one day be able to integrate her love for creative writing with her background in social and psychological science.  Some of her work has been featured in the McGill Daily at McGill University. Most of her content is inspired by “the mysteries of the mind and the disorienting traverses of young love.” This piece was written after reading Mihaly Csikszentmihaly’s research on the psychology of optimal experience- happiness. As a psychology major, she is captivated by the power of human imagination and our unique ability to create inner worlds to get lost in- which she says is why she fell in love with writing.
